Kisan Mahapanchayat: Kisan United Morcha has announced to hold a Mahapanchayat in Delhi on March 14. Since February 13, farmers have been protesting against MSP, old age pension, freedom from debt and withdrawal of Labor Code along with some other issues. United Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have together called for a Mahapanchayat in Delhi. If there is a Panchayat in Delhi on 14th. So some borders can be closed. Giving slogan of Delhi Chalo, farmers are standing at Shambhu and Khanori border of Delhi. Heavy barricading has been done by Delhi Police and Paramilitary to stop the entry of farmers into Delhi. To stop the group of farmers, Delhi Police has closed some borders of Delhi. Which includes Shambhu Border, Khanori Border, Dabwali Sirsa and Ghazipur Border. So, Singhu Border and Tikri Border have been kept open for entry into Delhi. Let us tell you that along with paramilitary forces, a large contingent of Delhi Police is also present on all these borders.
The movement has been going on for 29 days
Since February 13, farmers have been adamant about their demands before the central government. Farmers want legal guarantee on the minimum support price (MSP). Demands include pension for farmers and farm labourers, increase in electricity rates and waiver of farmer loans. Farmers had agitated after new laws were passed by the government, after which the government withdrew its laws and assured guarantee on MSP. But it has not been implemented yet. Now why are they protesting again regarding this? Till now it has been 29 days since this movement.
